Due to their lack of education the orphans of today cannot become active contributors to the society of tomorrow. These orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) are the centre of the project *stars of tomorrow.
We want to exploit the potential of the 2010 World Cup above and beyond its sports dimension in order to help a total of 2010 South African children grow up under humane conditions, and to ensure their education and training.
The overall aim is to meet their basic needs concerning food, loving care and medical treatment, to ensure access to school education and to enable the children to earn an own income when grown up.
An important part of our sustainable help is the education and prevention on AIDS. The reduction of prejudices and discrimination against infected persons and orphans as well as an extensive education on the ways of infection and the course of AIDS are decisive conditions for a sustainable development in South Africa.
